The zoo in Montgomery is a fun way to spend an afternoon. Much work has been done the last few years to help the animals feel as close to their natural environment as possible.

- I am a mom and and a grandma. As an Army brat, I have moved many places in my lifetime. Although in recent years I have settled into being a Southern Gal. As much as I may say I enjoy laying on my couch watching a movie or reading a good book, what I love most is being outdoors. Preferably barefoot.

I am very impressed with the way our zoo has been shaping up. when I was young, I think we had a cage for monkeys, an alligator, some birds and a reptile house. Its come a long way!!
